The NY Times of May 10, 1890 does report the arrival: SS Russia, (Ger.,) Reuter, Hamburg 12 ds., with mdse. and passengers to R.J. Cortis. Arrived at the Bar at 5 45 A.M. In the same paper dated May 13, 1890 the Russia is reported sailing for Hamburg. There is no mention of the ship going on to Baltimore and it seems rather tight for the ship to make such a voyage.
