    3. Hello, I¹m new to this list so please be gentle. I have the ³Sir Allan McNab² from London arriving Nelson, New Zealand 8 August 1855 with Mr Bird & 3 children on board. I am trying to ascertain if this is my family. Are there any embarkation lists available with more information please? My ancestors John Bird B1790 Cumwhitton, his daughter Isabella Bird born Cumwhitton with her illegitimate son John born Chester-le-Street, and Margaret Bird born Ainstable. Isabella aged C30yrs and Margaret C22yrs so not really children. They all joined their son/brother (Joshua) in Wakefield, Nelson and died there. John and his daughter Isabella (and her son John) are on the 1851 census at Portobello. Also on board were ³24 miners and labourers for the Dun Mountain Copper Mine, Nelson NZ). Another daughter Ann Dixon, her husband Isaac and daughter Elizabeth also went out to Nelson, New Zealand. Isaac died on voyage out. Ann would have been travelling under her married name so haven¹t included her in the above. Many thanks for any suggestions/help.
