Hi there After 10 years we have finally found my grandfather's death certificate. He died in Mauritius at the Moka Hospital, Moka at the age of 59 (he was actually 63). He lived or boarded at Rosehill. William Beastall Wilkinson was a seafaring man for most of his life from the age of 15 working his way up the ranks obtaining the rank of Master in 1915. He was Master of various ships during his career with the last ship listed on the Lloyds Log of Logs as the 'Cecile' in 1932. After that I don't know what happened, whether he was Captain on coastal traders off the African coast or a ship that he was on called in there and he had to get off due to illness or accident.
