Hello; Through ancestry.com I found my research subject, Karl Hambuch, of Herrenberg, Baden-Wuerttemberg Germay, in a passenger list for the Ship " C.F. French" out of Antwerp, arriving in NY City June 5, 1874. I have tried to located more information about the ship-- ownership, years in service, hopefully a picture, photo or sketch of it or a ship similar to it in construction, to no avail. I have searched the ships of the Red Star Line out of Antwerp for that time period, and no lists online have this particular ship listed. I can't rule out the Red Star Line as the owner of this ship, but cannot rule it in, either, without further corroboration. HAs anyone come across this ship before? Any suggestions for future research appreciated! Nancy Noel
