I am looking to find the original document and a little history and how life would have been aboard for a cross Atlantic voyage. I would like to know any particulars about this voyage. Did it stop in Ireland or did the Irish passengers have to get passage to Liverpool first? I would like to know if any other Dempsey's were on board this ship. Tom The NY Times reported the arrival in the Oct 29, 1851 paper. Br. ship Colonist, Rodgers, Liverpool Sept. 14, mdse. and 273 passengers to Crosby & Crocker. The London Times reported her sailing in the Monday, Sept 15, 1851 paper. Liverpool, Sunday Evening. Wind, S.S.E., moderate and fine. ...
