    3. Hi Kim, Unfortunately Canada did not begin to archive passenger lists before 1865. You can read about Canadian record sources here... http://www.theshipslist.com/Research/canadarecords.htm ... and see what resources are available for pre-1865 emigration / immigration There are a few surviving passenger lists, here ... http://www.theshipslist.com/ships/passengerlists/index.htm#canada I see where Abraham says he emigrated in 1851 in the 1901 census, but actual years are often misremebered, so another idea is to not overlook a New York arrival, as many Canada destined persons arrived through that port and then travelled up the Hudson river to Albany, then onto the Eirie canal, for example. I saw them in Sourton, Devon in the 1851 census spelled Daring ... Abraham and Ann are called Visitors and Harriet is Daughter ... curious. I wonder whether the census taker recorded them that way because they were both working! The 1851 UK census was supposed to be taken taken as of the night of 30 March 1851. Best of luck with your search.
