Steffen, I have not been a member of this list very long, but I think we may have a connection.......! I have traced our US Theobald line to a Friedrich Adam Theobald born before 1834 possibly in Herzheimweyher Germany (?) He married Maria/Magdalena Shafer/Schaffer - I believe in 1833 in or near Rorhbach, Kanton, Bergzabern, Germany Their son, George Peter ("Peter") Theobald was born 29 Aug 1832 in Herxheimweyher, Kingdom of Bavaria, Germany He married in the USA, Mary Anna Klott. His mother, Madga Theobald, lived with them in the US. I do not know if our Friedrich Adam Theobald came to the US or not, but it is certain that his wife was here. Peter and Magda are our direct ancestors. I wonder if our Friedrich Adam is a son of your Friedrich Adam - or the same and he was married more than once?? Do you have any information that could connect them???
