Hello, I am looking for information on some theatrical ancestors and wondered if they may appear in the ERA directories. Stage name LILY (or LILAC KATE) (could have been spelt with a C) was a BURLESQUE DANCER from about 1890. On the 1891 census she is listed as actress. Her surname was WISEMAN. Her husband was JOHN KINGSBURY DUNLOP, a singer who I know appeared in GREAT YARMOUTH, NORFOLK. May have been know as JOHN KINGSBURY or JOHN DUNLOP. Also I'm looking for a great aunt who's name was ELIZABETH UNWIN. This was her single name and I am not sure of her married name. ELIZABETH was an OPERA SINGER with the CARL ROSA COMPANY probably at the beginning of the 1900s.. I have written to them but unfortunately they don't have anyone who could search the records for me.
