Hi All, A few weeks back I posted a request for information about a singer called Marie LONGMORE at the Royal Queen's Theatre (the first Queen's Theatre) in Manchester in 1865. Shortly afterwards, Manchester Library discovered a couple of playbills in their archives where the lady was performing as an actress. However, I have been unable to discover her birth as a Marie LONGMORE so it is possible that LONGMORE is either a stage name or else she married someone of that name. If the latter case, then she probably married a second time as I don't have a death for a Marie LONGMORE either. Yesterday I discovered the will of William LONGMORE, a watchmaker of 25 Mosley Street, Manchester, who died on 10th July 1873. The executor of the will was his son, Thomas LONGMORE, whose occupation was given as "actor". Could this Thomas LONGMORE possibly be the wife or a relation of my missing Marie LONGMORE?
