I am trying to find out what the TV series was called that I think was based on Yorkshire folk. >From memory I think Liz Smith played the mother and there was I think a father,an uncle, a grandfather and a son who had a girlfriend. The old grandfather was deaf and used to say "I heard that, pardon". The son (who for some reason I think may have been played by Stephen Rea) used to sit there and say something like "Oh I Mmm Aarrh" when asked something.
