Hi everyone, Someone suggested I try here for information. I am researching HILL in London and not surprisingly, I am not getting very far! Harry Hill was the father of stage actress Rose HILL born 05 Jun 1914 I am hoping to find out who her mother was and if she had a brother as I was told by a relative. I don't know if anyone here can help or suggest where to try from here but it's worth a shot. If you mean the Rose Hill who played the ancient mother in 'Allo! 'Allo! she was an opera singer who won the Gold Medal at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, as I did too, but much later! Don't know what happened to her voice, maybe she preferred acting to singing. Not that this helps with her parentage, I'm afraid.
