    2. Sue Rowbotham
    3. Jill Re your enquiry regarding ELIZABETH UNWIN Opera singer. Try the following sites: http://www.carlrosaopera.co.uk/welcome/index.htm http://www.opera.co.uk/ - Opera Magazine http://www.royalopera.org/Home/ - Royal Opera House, Covent Garden were very helpful when I contacted them about a member of our family from the Moody Manners Opera Company. Moody Manners were contemporaries of Carl Rosa Company in early 1900s. They might be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck Sue Rowbotham ----- Original Message ----- From: Carole Cumber <cdcumber@sprint.ca> To: <THEATRE-UK-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: 19 March 2003 12:56 Subject: Re: [THEATRE-UK] ARE THESE FOLK IN THE BOOK? > Sorry no luck finding any of these, > regards, > Carole > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <STUDIOLLIJ@aol.com> > To: <THEATRE-UK-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Tuesday, March 18, 2003 3:01 AM > Subject: [THEATRE-UK] ARE THESE FOLK IN THE BOOK? > > > > Hello Carole, > > > > Just wondered if any of the following may appear in your book? > > > > LILIAN CAVANNAH may have been spelt with a 'K'(christened WISEMAN) > > Burlesque dancer/actress from about 1890. > > JOHN either DUNLOP or KINGSBURY (singer, appeared in GREAT YARMOUTH > possibly > > from 1890 -1920) > > HARRY ROYAL (HOCKETT) entertainer pre the 1st W.W. > > ELIZABETH UNWIN Opera singer with the CARL ROSA COMPANY (after 1900) may > > have married but I don't know her married name. > > > > Thank you for your kind offer, > > REGARDS, > > JILL > > > > >
