Hi Sue This is quite a good site, though the warnings about not posting until you've read all the old messages are a little bit over the top! (Especially when there's no search facility) The only real reason I'm following this up is to ask if you noticed that there were actually TWO references to Maskelyne: the one near the top about the guy writing the book, but also one lower down asking if anyone remembers Maskelyne and Devant. If you remember, Devant was the other guy mentioned in the Maud Gill book I found the reference to Maskelyne in recently. Anyway, just thought I'd make sure you knew about it.
