I am new to the mailing list and am researching my great grandfather Harry Wincott who was a musichall songwriter. Harry was born in 1867 and died in 1947. Whilst he kept the name Harry Wincott professionally all his life, he actually changed his name to Alfred James Walden sometime between the 1901 census and 1918. I have the titles of hundreds of his songs although many of them were sold to others as was the custom at the time. I would dearly love any further information on him as I have hit a brickwall and would be grateful for any information anybody may have, also on his second wife who I believe was a music hall performer called Daisy Pink who he married late in his life.
