    3. Hello All, This morning I looked on GOOGLE for the name of Walter MALLYON my gg grandfather a lithographic artist and found a few more poster drawn by him, under Davenport Collection Posters. There are a lot of new posters from Musical Hall days, including the 1900, from all over the Country, a very good interesting collection with plenty of information for research. Regards Barbara Lewis Mallyon

    3. Hello Listers My 1st cousin twice removed is said to have been a member of a dance troupe in the 1920s called the Otino Girls.  It was formed by her mother, May Catherine Hyde.  It is said to have performed at the Scala Theatre in Amsterdam in 1926.  But I have not been able to find any reference to it anywhere.  Has anyone heard of it?  Can anyone suggest any line of search other than Google? 3. The only reference I can find on a quick search of the Newspaper Archive is The Stage - 7 August 1941 "A. S. Hyde, who is about to join up, wishes to hear from relatives with whom he has lost touch owing to absence abroad without a permanent address. One of his relatives ran a troupe called the Otino Girls, and another relative the Oswald Girls. Letters care of this paper will be forwarded".I hope this helps.Joanna From: Lawrence Pearse <Lawrencepearse@msn.com> To: Barbara Mallyon <BarbaraMallyon@lewmal.co.uk>; JOANNA BLATCHLEY <joanna.blatchley@btinternet.com>; "theatre-uk@rootsweb.com" <theatre-uk@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, 28 September 2018, 22:59 Subject: THE OTINO GIRLS 1926 Hello Listers My 1st cousin twice removed is said to have been a member of a dance troupe in the 1920s called the Otino Girls.  It was formed by her mother, May Catherine Hyde.  It is said to have performed at the Scala Theatre in Amsterdam in 1926.  But I have not been able to find any reference to it anywhere.  Has anyone heard of it?  Can anyone suggest any line of search other than Google? 3. Very interesting, Joanna - thank you. I have an A G Hyde born 1911 in my tree who might have been about to join up in 1941 but not an A S Hyde. I must now also follow up on the Oswald Girls. 3. You can pay for a weeks subscription to the stage and see if it’s in their archive. Or the British newspaper archives which has digitized ‘the era’ which is also a great resource Sent from my iPhone > On Sep 29, 2018, at 8:14 AM, JOANNA BLATCHLEY via THEATRE-UK <theatre-uk@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > The only reference I can find on a quick search of the Newspaper Archive is The Stage - 7 August 1941 "A.
