Hiya , I am new to this, so could use a little advice please, I am researching my fathers side of the tree, and his mum had a step-sister, who i have copys of letters she sent from New York in 1900 saying that 'The Grand Opera' will be finishing in 4 weeks, and that she was thinking of travelling onto Germany!, it mentions her singing in the music halls of broadway, . She never stayed in one place for long as i have 4/5 letters all with different addresses on, all being boarding houses/hotels. I have had the census checked for the 1850/1900 for New York, but no luck, I dont know when she travelled out there, and as she was a stepsister, am unsure of her last name, though i have her brothers details,(he was shot and killed in france during the war and have his details, She signed all her letters Lulu, and her brothers last name was Shepherd, though her stepsisters last name was Ingram, Confused? I am, Can anyone help as to where to go now Thankyou Tracey
