I wonder if anyone can help, please? I understand that my late grandfather was "a theatre manager in Crewe" - according to fading family memories. It would be sometime after WWI and before 1932 when he died. Is there a route you would recommend to determine what theatres were active in the Crewe area and where one might find info on managers? Many thanks for reading this, Nigel - former programme-maker(TV) in the fairly recent days when entertainment was the sole raison dêtre, not revenue-generation for shareholders - or is it me? - in Fenstanton, Cambridgeshire (or Huntingdonshire to all thinking persons esp. genealogists) The birthplace of John Howland, one of the first Pilgrims on the "Mayflower" ___________________________________________________ http://www.fenstanton-village.co.uk - best viewed at 800 x 600 or greater - optimised for IE4 and above ___________________________________________________ --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
