    3. Hi I'm just new on the list. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about a Dr. Body, I think he may have been an illusionist in the 1930's. or 40's. My mother-in-law's uncle Bill ? used to prepare his stage act for him. It seems he created a lot of effects using electricity. Dr Body also stayed with Bill and family whenever he was in Blackpool, and left them his equipment and pet monkey to look after. Any info would be welcome. My mother-in-law's cousin was Jack Anthony, well known on the Scottish circuits. Janette

    3. Hello Janettet, and list members, I've heard talk of "Dr. BODY" he was in direct compition with another Electrical Act - Professor SPARKES & Thelma "Washing the Electric baby" I knew Professor SPARKES (aka George RATHBONE) and Thelma his wife. Their act would be in the time scale. I know that they appeared in every Music Hall in the Country. They retired in the late 1950's having sold the rights to the electric Baby to "Stromboli" (Danny LYNCH) who is still alive and living the Gtr. Manchester area. Would your mother-in-law's uncle Bill remember Professor SPARKES? I would be interested to know of anyone who knew of Professor SPARKES?
