Hi Listers, I have a PALMER family, Actors, lodging in Fairclough St, Newton in Makerfield. Lancs in the 1881 census. If there was a theatre close to the above address, or indeed only one theatre in the town can someone let me know. Any help will be much appreciated. Where is Newton in Makerfield? I know of Ashton-in-Makerfield and Newton-le-Willows and if my memory serves me correctly they are on the border of Lancs/Cheshire.
