    3. Hi Sylvia I am sure you will be inundated with information about G H Elliott,I have found some references.First appearance and success for G.H.Elliott was at The Argyle,Birkenhead.Popular songs he sang "Hullo Susie Green","I used to Sigh for the Silvery Moon"-and many more, whose melodies linger on.Still the same charm invests the Chocolate Coloured Coon, still the same agility and art,he can sing Gene Strattons songs better than anyone except Gene himself. ELLIOTT > My Grandmother was proud of the fact that George H. Elliott, dubiously named The Original Chocolate Coloured Coon, "took a shine" to her, until he found out she was married. This was in Manchester about 1900. Does anybody know anything about George H. Ellott? I know he was still working in 1956. My Grandmother's name was Emily Perkins (nee Carter). Any info on theatre programmes that may give dates etc would be welcomed? > > Sylvia Hodges > > > ==== THEATRE-UK Mailing List ==== > The URL for the THEATRE-UK Web-site is - > http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jassie/ > > ============================== > Visit Ancestry's Library - The best collection of family history > learning and how-to articles on the Internet. > http://www.ancestry.com/learn/library >
