SAD! SAD! SAD! Casinos are the pits as far as I am concerned and do nothing except bring money to those who run them. There is no entertainment value for families and folk who like and want the seaside and family entertainment. Casinos bring all sorts of problems and I really do hope that there is a change of heart from those making decisions. I am also sad to hear that the popularity of Blackpool as a resort is plummetting. It isn't very many years ago that I read of her popularity topping all other resorts at home and on the continent. I would like to hear more about what is happening to 'OUR BLACKPOOL'. Thank you .. This is what it's about: "With visitor numbers plummeting, Blackpool is preparing to stake it's future on becoming the British equivalent of Las Vegas. Plans are afoot to build rows of enormous casinos along the famous Golden Mile. Will the gamble pay off & bring billions of pounds to Blackpool, or will it spell the end for the ailing resort?"
