Hello Adrienne What a wonderful reply .. I enjoyed every word you wrote about Blackpool, the Tower, the Circus and the Clowns. And such a coincidence your mother's name and mine! I'm quite pleased to hear that the Water Ballet still is performed. A friend in my early days was one of the girls and I remember her saying how cold they used to get. Does the circus still have the Ring Master .. dressed in scarlet jacket, riding breeches and top hat I wonder? I may be wrong but I think the the Tower Circus is possibly the most impressive of all circuses. When your grandfather was at the North Pier it would have been at the same time that Dave Morris the comedian was appearing there. I also wonder if your mother remembers Miss Kidd who choreographed the young dancers who put on a show in the Tower ballroom. I'd love to hear more .. just fancy, these notes going so quickly over 12000 miles. AMAZING!! The very best of wishes .. Marjorie
