Hi, List, Seeking information on Thomas Burdeth HOWE, who died in Chiswick, London, on 9 Mar 1908 at age 79. I find him in the 1881 and 1891 census returns, where he lists his birthplace as Pimlico. I have information that he was born as "James Burdeth (or Burdette) HOWE" and assume he changed his name for the stage. His second wife was Julia SKINNER (mar. c. 1885), but I don't know who his first wife was. Family tradition holds that his father was in the theater, too, but doesn't give a first name.
