    3. Dear Sarah, I understand that Albert Burdon died in 1981 and that he came from somewhere in the Newcastle upon Tyne area. He recorded at least twice - here are the details; ALBERT BURDON AND COMPANY recorded London, 10th. October 1933 Albert before the Means Test Committee - parts 1 & 2 on Regal Zonophone MR-1120] ALBERT BURDON and THE AWFUL CHILD recorded London, June 1934 George Washington - parts 1 & 2 on Regal Zonophone MR-1351 Burdon did a well known stage sketch called "On the Dole", which he performed with his wife to be. He appeared in Pantomime at Newcastle's "Theatre Royal" in 1958. The records are rare, but not fabulously so! Hope this helps. They were based in Newcastle area, but Albert (father) was in many pantomimes throughout the country. Brian has appeared in various TV programmes (to my knowledge). > > Albert was my Grandfather's cousin, so any information would be greatly appreciated. > > Many thanks > > Sarah Sherwood (nee Burdon) > > > > ==== THEATRE-UK Mailing List ==== > To unsubscribe, send an e-mail with just the word - unsubscribe - > in the body of the message to [email protected] > or [email protected] if in 'Digest' mode > > ============================== > Visit Ancestry.com for a FREE 14-Day Trial and enjoy access to the #1 > Source for Family History Online.
