Hi, Abraham "Bram" Stoker was born in Dublin in 1847. He gave up a career as a civil servant in 1878 to become the secretary and touring manager to the famous actor Sir Henry Irving for the next 27 years. He died in 1912. Wrote "Reminiscences of Henry Irving" (1906), short stories, novels and dramatic criticism. "Dracula" was written in 1897.
