Hi all, I have a William ROGERS (2) born approx 1858 who told us (on his marriage certificate in 1886) that his father was William ROGERS (1) - occupation -Theatrical. The son of William ROGERS (2) was William ROGERS (3) born 1900 who told us(on his marriage certificate) that HIS father was a theatrical artist. Family history says there was a connection with Sadlers Wells. It also says the family came from London. I have found no proof of any of this despite following one William Rogers of Sadlers Wells fame right through his career to his death and getting his will which shows no children. I have found another William Rogers in Bethnal Green in the 1840's who gives his occupation as Comedian who WAS married with children but disappears around the time the other makes an appearance and I cannot link the two of them nor mine to either. Any suggestions? I am currently conducting a contiguous search of the 1891 census for William Rogers (3) around Coventry and London so if anyone spots him I would love to know about it.
