    3. The link you sent won't work. It comes up URL not found. Derek was kind enough to bid on eBay for a Theatre program for me, and sent it to me as a gift, so I could have a picture of my mother's cousin Leslie Henson , who played in "Harvey" at the Prince of Wales Theatre, and I would love to have a picture of Derek. Could you please send the link again. 3. Hi All, I recently purchased a Living Era CD " You have to Laugh, Don't You?" ( Amazon.co.uk) that has recordings made be the likes of Nellie Wallace, Rob Wilton and Max Miller and who can forget Trains by Reginald Gardiner. The one track that came as a big surprise, as I had never heard it before, was called "Everything is Fresh Today" by Jack Hodges who was known as "The Raspberry King". The recording was originally made on September 24, 1933. I understand that in one of the recent tribute TV programs to Spike Milligan shown in the UK, Milligan was shown dressed with large red lips and a fright wig performing "Everything is Fresh Today". Does anyone have information, or could point me in the direction where I could find more about Jack Hodges, who he was, how long he performed in the Music Halls and was he known for anything other than this "Everything is Fresh Today." etc.? 3. I'd be very grateful indeed for any information at all regarding on an Edwardian acrobatic dancer ...stage name Lily Flexmore...(yes it really was). Lily was born in 1890, so she could have been on the stage from somewhere about 1906 until she retired (injured) in 1913. She has been traced working at The Palace, Blackpool in December 1911 and again in June 1913 where she performed something called a "Bite my Toe" Dance. Family memory has it that, at some point during her career, circa 1906-1913, she toured Germany; "perhaps" as part of a circus. Any detail, however small, would be very much appreciated.

    2. Hello, I am looking for information on some theatrical ancestors and wondered if they may appear in the ERA directories. Stage name LILY (or LILAC KATE) (could have been spelt with a C) was a BURLESQUE DANCER from about 1890. On the 1891 census she is listed as actress. Her surname was WISEMAN. Her husband was JOHN KINGSBURY DUNLOP, a singer who I know appeared in GREAT YARMOUTH, NORFOLK. May have been know as JOHN KINGSBURY or JOHN DUNLOP. Also I'm looking for a great aunt who's name was ELIZABETH UNWIN. This was her single name and I am not sure of her married name. ELIZABETH was an OPERA SINGER with the CARL ROSA COMPANY probably at the beginning of the 1900s.. I have written to them but unfortunately they don't have anyone who could search the records for me. I hope someone may be able to point me in the right direction. Many thanks JILL
