Hello List, This is my first message to this list, so I thought I should introduce myself. I am the 3g-granddaughter of Ann TETLOW, also known as Nanny. According to the 1851 and 1861 censuses, she was born in Rochdale in 1803. In 1827, she married Abraham TURNER at Prestwich, Lancashire (I was just given this information today - thankyou to Richard Tetley [Notts], Bill Dowdell and David Tetlow). Ann did not have any occupation recorded in the censuses or her burial record, but her husband was a handloom weaver. She had five children who all became power loom weavers. The family lived in Stoneyfield, Castleton, Rochdale. Ann died in 1861 and is buried in Rochdale Cemetery on Bury Road. If anyone has a connection with Ann (or Nanny) TETLOW of Rochdale, I would love to hear from them. Any other information on this elusive ancestor of mine would be greatly appreciated.
