This is a seaside town on the Lancashire coast, above Blackpool. So, I thought I'd better have a look around for some Haley connections. There was a marriage between a Timothy Haley and Emily Tetley (probably. We'd need a copy of the certificate to be sure) in the September quarter (Q3) of 1876 (according to the freebmd website). By my reckoning, only the last one, Annie, is young enough to have been born after the marriage in 1876. Some further investigation would be needed to find the identity of his first wife (or maybe I should say earlier wives, because there may have been more than one.) Timothy Haley was alive in 1901, and living in Bradford, so maybe Emily was just visiting her sisters, or perhaps she'd left Timothy. We might find out more, by inspecting the whole census entry for Timothy Haley's household.
