Hi Richard, There was a birth registered in 1895 of a Lawrence Shuttleworth Tetley. That would seem to be a likely fit. I can't find a birth of a Fred Shuttleworth Tetley or George Shuttleworth Tetley, but there is a birth of a George Shuttleworth in 1899, which might fit. From Parish registers, Elizabeth Ellen TETLEY 21years spinster of Bradford father Richard TETLEY deceased married Arthur SHUTTLEWORTH 18years bachelor of Bradford father George SHUTTLEWORTH on 17th February 1896 page 123 No 245 So, I think its likely that Laurence/Lawrence was an illegitimate child of Elizabeth's before she married Arthur. From the ages of the two younger ones, they should indeed be full Shuttleworths. I'll bet that Arthur claimed Laurence as his child.
