[James Carter Tetley was born in Ireland, the son of William Tetley and Caroline (nee Carter). Any suggestions?] Tetley Mary Hodgson of Bank House, Wellingboro, Northants, widow, died 7 Oct 1901, probate London 13 Dec to Mary Emily Townsend (wife of Thomas Henry Townsend) & Alice Susan Harrison (wife of Thomas Harrison) effects £42,383-8-4. [Mary Hodgson Smith was the wife of George Greenwood Tetley. They married in 1840. Mary & Alice were the two, known, surviving daughters. Another surviving child, George Rennie Tetley, was featured in the 'Extraordinary Ancestors' TV programme, recently.] Tetley Robert of the ‘Robin Hood’ hotel, Church Bank, Bradford, publican, died 15 Sep 1901, probate Wakefield, 25 Oct to Samuel Tetley, innkeeper, effects £336-11-8. [Robert is relatively unknown, to me, apart from being mentioned as the father of Samuel, when Samuel married Martha Emily Totty in 1894 and as the father of Thomas Henry T, Samuel's brother, when he married Ellen Derick/Dewick also in 1894. [William (1848-1902) was born in Birmingham. His mother was named Ann, his father's name is not known by me.
