Hi Folks, I am persuaded by Helen, that James Tetley of Heaton, who fathered a son, James, in 1772, and the James Tetley of Manningham, who fathered a son, James in 1771, are two distinct, different, James Tetleys. The crux is that James Tetley of Manningham buried his son in 1772/3 (the date varies in different transcriptions). The one born in Heaton went on to marry Mary Milner. This splits up the children. The children born to the James, of Heaton, are; William 1770 and James 1772. The children born to the James, of Manningham, are James 1771 and Sarah 1775. And I thought I had that lot sussed! :-) Cheers Rich (in Notts) -- Born in Sheffield, but currently in Nottingham UK.
