Alfred was wounded on two occasions and Charles on three occasions. The wounds mentioned in the reports were shrapnel wounds and bayonet wounds. (Nothing too major then! :-}, I wonder if they thought they were lucky to have missed 'the big one', or unlucky to have been caught three times!) I imagine that many men would have thought one 'blighty wound' was the end of the war for them. These guys went back again, and again! One can only marvel at their courage. Regards Richard
