    3. Hi Richard, Thanks for the suggestions. I think we can probably rule out Joseph, born 1812, because, although he _could_ have married in 1828, he'd have been 16 or 17, which would have been unusually young (although not impossible). The fact that Joseph is described as a 'manufacturer' when he married, would tend to indicate that he was (at least) of full age. Joseph, son of William is a possibility, he doesn't seem to have been 'seen' after his baptism either, so could be the one who married Elizabeth and next appears in the 1841 census. My only reservation is that his father was a malster/farmer so the son would be less likely to become a manufacturer, but we can't rule that out, because many farmers were also weavers. Joseph son of James of Heaton, was the one who married Mercy Smith and died in 1861 (if my other assumptions are correct!) Joseph, son of James of Great Horton is a definite possibility. His father was a stuffmaker, so he would be likely to go into manufacturing. Having looked at my data again, there is also a son of Samuel and Martha Keighley, who was baptised 21 Nov 1801 and was never seen again! If only our Joseph's marriage lines described him as a 'son of' someone! If we could work out the Norwich connection, i.e. his reason for living in Norfolk, it might help. Although he seems to have been resident in Norwich for quite a while, he obviously still had ties with Bradford, because some of the kids were re-baptised there. I have the feeling that a memorial inscription, or some other small clue, would be enough to link up this family! I'll try and dig out the newspaper indexes that I have somewhere....
