Hi Richard, Many thanks for all this Undercliffe information. As is often the case, this caused me to look again, at the data in the database. There was a James Tetley who married an Eliza Ellis on 28 Jul 1807. The fact that William named one of his daughters Elizabeth Ellis Tetley, hints that William is possibly a son of James & Eliza. It is true that they did have a son William, but he was baptised in 1812, (unless there has been a mis-transcription and he was baptised in 1817). For the time being, I have tentatively linked William (husband of Caroline), with James and Eliza as his parents. By the way, the 'Carter' middle name comes from Caroline who was Caroline Carter before she married William. Thanks again! We'll eventually glue them all together!
