Sorry Paul, I don't think you are a relation. My father was born in the 1920's (Donald Teske) and his father was Carl Teske from Mecklenburg (sp?), Germany. Don't know of a 'Paul' in our lineage. They came to America about 1882 and farmed in the Tinley Parl, Il area. I do not know from where they came in Germany but we have a postcard sent to Rose Teske from Germany (dtd 1947) and it shows many people in front of a large building (believe it was an orphanage). The post card shows Kreis Wirsitz as the location. Rose and Carl had 7-9 children. Most of the children died before age 35. Rose was born in 1851 and died in 1952 (101 years old). Carl was born in 1852 and died about 1907-08. They are buried at the Trinity Lutheran cemetery in Tinley Park, Il. I was recently in Peotone Illinois and saw the name Teske on a business. I stopped in and spole with Ms Teske. She indicated they are decendents of August Teske (a son of Rose and Carl) who died at the young age of 32. The sender was a woman named Alwine and she was sending it to her 97 year old sister Rose Busse Teske. Rose Busse Teske was married to Carl (Karl) Teske. Carl and Rose Teske came to America in 1883 and farmed near Tinley Park Illinois. I do not know if the Teske/ Busse people were born in the Kreis Wirsitz area or if it was a place where Alwine lived in 1947. This does not really seem feasible as Kreis Wirsitz, as you indicated, wasmost likely Polish land in 1947.
