    1. [TENNISON] Help Keep This List Active
    2. Jim Jackson
    3. We just wanted to encourage you all to make use of this list in your family searches. A large number of Rootsweb lists have been made inactive due to no messages over a period of time. We want to keep as many lists active as we possibly can and your participation will help toward that goal. If you have a "brick wall" in your family search, send in a message with as much information as you have and let's see if someone may be able to help fill in those blanks. Best wishes, Jim and Di

    1. [TENNISON] Introductions
    2. Jim Jackson
    3. Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Jim (Pops) Jackson and have been given the privilege of acting as List Admin for the TENNISON List. I have been active with Rootsweb for nearly 20 years and have received great pleasure in doing so. I hope this message will help spur renewed activity with offers of helpful information, requests for help etc. Obviously this means that Rootsweb is back in active status after a period of difficulties that have been dealt with and needed upgrades made. If you have not already done so, you may register at https://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/postorius/lists/ and be able to see all the lists to which you are subscribed as well as control how your messages are delivered, etc. I hope to hear from you soon with your comments, information and questions. Best wishes, Jim

Author: KarenEslick99 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.tennison/288.3.1.1.2.1.2.2.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Jesse Lonzo (Boss) Tennison was born 25 December 1884 in Comanche County, TX and died 6 September 1935 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was listed as a mechanic on his draft registration and as a farmer in the 1930 census. He married Wilma Ann Laird in Duster Texas 26 December 1906. Boss, as everyone called him, was my paternal grandfather. I only heard of one sister named Ada. I never heard of Joseph's wife being called Mariah but Mollie Jo and MJ and Joanna. Joseph's wife's maiden name is listed as Scott on Jesse's death certificate. There is a 1900 census that shows Elonas (or Elonso) Tennison (just about right age, correct birth day but with a corrected year) living with a Scott family.
