Our earliest confirmed Templeton is: William Templeton - born around 1800 - where? (Must have either dropped from a spaceship or found under a rock in Lanark Scotland) * married Joan Forrest in 1827 in Dalserf, Lanark Scotland. * had several children - Jean, Margaret, Joanna, Mary, Marion, Marion, Elizabeth, Agnes, William and William (the repeats are on purpose, the first of each must have died). Agnes is my line. Agnes married George Meikle, and they came to Colorado, USA around 1875 or so. William was married to a Mary Brown. They were in Stonehouse in 1871, but in 1881 apparently in separate households. I believe it is highly possible that some Templetons came to Colorado with the Meikles or later because of the Meikles. Would be interested in corresponding with any Templetons from Colorado as well as Scotland. I also have some information on several Templeton families in Dalserf who I have not been able to connect to William as yet! Mary and Don in Wyoming
