Dear Rick, I could not find a Martin Templeton in Virginia. There are four Templetons listed in the American Genealogical-Biographical Index: David (1770's), John (1740's), Robert (1750's), and William (1740's). I also have two other Martins in my database, one in NC and one in Ohio, but both were born in the 1800's. If you'd like more information about any of these, let me know.
