James Beal of Sedgwick, Kansas gave me your name and E Mail address. He told me that you are searching for Temple Family genealogy. I am not on the internet, but am sending this on my daughter's computer. I am a 2nd great grandson of William and Lydia "Biddy" Temple, who came to the U.S. from Ireland in 1819. They brought a young son with them named Michael Temple. A daughter, Margaret A. Temple was born in New York City on December 18, 1819. My guess is that they landed in New York City. They settled East of Cambridge, Ohio in or around Quaker City. William and Lydia's 5th child, James Temple, was born December 5, 1827. He is my great grand father and he married Mary Jane Taylor on October 21, 1851 in Guernsey County, Ohio. They settled on property that is now under water in Salt Fork State Park, East of Cambridge, Ohio. They were the parents of 10 children: 1. William Taylor Temple born October 6, 1852. He married Melinda Wilkins and their children were Maude, Frank, James, Harry or Dick, Ray and May. He had four children in his second marriage and I do not know their names. He died in Holly, Colorado. 2. Ella S. Temple born about 1854. She married Eli Tedrick Lake and they lived in Cambridge. 3. Clarissa Ann Temple born September 30,1856. She married James Beal and they moved to Sedgwick, Kansas. 4. Resin Temple born about 1858. He died as a teenager. 5. John Franklin Temple born March 9, 1861. He married Julia Blinn in Kansas. Their son, Floyd Temple was killed in a train accident as a teenager. They adopted a daughter, Maxine Temple. 6. Martha Temple born about 1863 and died as a child. 7. James "Carr" Temple born September 3, 1865. He never married and lived in Ohio. 8. Alice M. Temple born September 27, 1867. She married Louis A. Temple in 1900. They later moved to San Antonio, Texas from Cambridge, Ohio. 9.Charles Grier Temple born March 12, 1870. He married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Pallister. They lived on the family farm East of Cambridge. They had one son, James Temple, who lives in Florida. 10. George Price Temple born February 22, 1872. He married Mary Ann Howe in Kansas. They had three sons, Charles, Galen and Price Temple.
