In a previous e-mail I indicated that I was looking for information on the family of Conrad TEMPLE. I have since had inquiries for more information. This would lead me to believe that my first message did not include enough information to be of help - so, with appologies, I will try again. Conrad TEMPLE was born on 1 Apr 1808 in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland and died on 1 May 1862 in Washington County, Iowa. He married Margaret RITCHEY on 16 August 1829. They had 10 children. Conrad TEMPLE's father may have also been named Conrad. There is a Conrad TEMPLE listed in the 1790 census of Washington County, Maryland. The census lists Conrad TEMPLE as head of household with 1 male over the age of 16, one female over the age of 16, and 1 male child under the age of 16 - which could be Conrad (Jr)'s brother. The birth, marriage and death dates for Conrad (Jr) are from the RITCHEY family bible, so they may not be totally accurate. There are also 2 articles about the TEMPLE's of Maryland in the "Maryland Geneological Bulletin". The first is of a George and Mary TEMPLE in the Spring 1986 issue. The second is of a William TEMPLE in the Winter 1992 issue. If anyone has access to these 2 articles, I would appreciate a lookup to see if they might have some bearing on my research.
