Dear Joanne, I saw your web site when I was looking for information about my own family's prior property. My fathers family name was "Cowing" and they too came over on the Mayflower. I think that your web site is just great. It takes alot of work to look up this information. My father was John D. Cowing and he lived at RD#1, Lake Road, Lot# 57, Cayuga, New York. The legal description is Town of Aurelius, County of Cayuga, N.Y. Great Lot 57. He sold the property to a Walter J. Pokrzywa and Stella W. Pokrzywa in 1984. I was wondering if you can tell me if they in fact are still in the area. I would like to contact them and there is no phone listing. Since this was 13 years ago who knows if they are still around.
