Parker, Regarding my earlier message, is it not also possible that Templer should be included more actively for some of the same reasons. In our case, for about 100 years there has been a family story about how one brother added the "R" to the Temple name to get Templer. That supposedly happened in Virginia, another Southern state. Isn't it just possible that the same type of thing also happpened to some who added the "S"? In our case, again, James Templer was b. abt 1755 in Loudoun County, Virginia, d. aft 1846, believed to be in Virginia as that was last report of him in his 90's. Married on 31 Aug 1775 in Loudoun County, VA to Martha Huff, b. abt 1755 in VA, d. aft 1840 in VA. We do not know the parents of these individuals but family history says the name change occurred and we have located a Temple genealogy file on WFT, Vol. 2, #2978, from Broderbund that contains information on a Virginia family by name of Temple that has a son, James, b. abt 1755, and about whom no other information is shown. It is like he disappeared! Could this be our James? We would like to visit with the author of this WFT submission except they have asked to remain undisclosed. Any information anyone can give us about this possible family connection would be appreciated. I can provide a copy of the WFT files again if it would help in your analysis.
