Pretty definitively, there were no TEMPLEs on the Mayflower - but there have undoubtedly been some relations by marriage. Abraham of Salem was the first TEMPLE in this country with a reasonable amount of documentation. However, a Dorothy TEMPLE (b. abt 1615) worked as a servant of one Stephen Hopkins. Hopkins had been one of the members of the Mayflower party in 1620. The story on Dorothy may be confused with our having a Mayflower person - since it seems that Hopkins found that she was pregnant in 1638 during her last two years of indenture. Hopkins, however, was not the father. The father of her child was probably Arthur Peach, who had been executed for murder and highway robbery. Apparently nothing more is known of Dorothy or her child. That's about all I can come up with for a TEMPLE connection to the Mayflower. Anyone else know of soemthing?
