Dorothy and TEMPLE Cousins: Dorothy's data must have a strong element of truth in it, given the recent nature of so much of the data. The data going back to Major TEMPLE is interesting. Interesting - but it raises more questions than it answers. My data does not resolve the William G or Robert Elias - in fact, the dates I have conflict with the Robert, son of John and Elizabeth Marshall. One possible explanation - Elizabeth Marshall married John's son, John. That would amke the dates for a Robert in 1855 much more plausible. However, I have seen nothing in the documentation to idicate this sort of confusion. Anyone have thoughts on this? Below, you will find an individual summary on John TEMPLE, showing my data for his linkage to Elizabeth Marshall. My source is a book of some relatively frequent error - Levi Daniel's Some Temple Pedigrees. I have found, more than once, his confusion of generations, or skipping a generation. Following the individual summary, I have a longer descent from John Temple - showing that I can document no where near 11 children for him TOTAL, with both wives.
