William Temple, son of William Temple and Susannah Carrington b.pre-1700 in Atford, Wiltshire, England. Emmigrated to Chester Co. PA in 1714. Later wed one Hannah Taylor (daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Haines Taylor). married in January 1725. Children of William Temple and Hannah Taylor were: a. Thomas b 10-10-25 d 1808 mar. Jane Brinton b. Hannah b 09-14-27 d ? mar Isaac Miller c. Susanna b 09-08-30 d ? mar William Seal d. William b 02-02-35 died young, not married e. Elizabeth b 01-27-35 d ? mar Benjamin Hutton f. Lydia b 05-02-37 d ? mar Caleb Seal g. Sarah b 12-25-40/41 d ? mar John Pyle h. Alice b 09-17-43 d ? mar Benjamin Jones i. Benjamin b 12-03-45 died 09-06-1815 (will dated) married Hannah Jones (daughter of Sarah Taylor, daughter of Joseph Taylor, born 12-1-75. Her father was John Jones. Thus, folks, Hannah Jones and Benjamin Temple were cousins.) Benjamin Temple happens to be my line so I will only continue on from there. Benjamin and Hannah Jones Temple had the following children: 1. John 2. James (my line) 3. Jane 4. Hannah 5. Joseph 6. Elizabeth 7. William 2. James Temple married Sarah Marshall 11 Jan 1810. Their children are as follows: a. Alice b. Ruth c. Esther 4. Moses 5. Sarah 6. Margaretta 7. Benjamin 8. James (again my line) 9. Jane Ann 10. Phoebe James Temple married Lydia Evans 28 October 1830. in Chester Co. PA. married by one James McFarlan Justice of the Peace. Their children are as follows: 1. Benjamin James mar Lerona Houchins 2. Joel Taylor mar Mary Coffrin 3. William Evan mar Elizabeth Burt 4. Francis Marion mar Margaret Barlow * my line 5. Carolina maried David Heck 6. Mary died as a child Marion Francis Temple married Margaret Ann Barlow 8 Aug 68 in Portsmouth Ohio, Scioto Co. both are buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth. Marion served in the Civil War. They were of the Methodist faith. Their children are as follows: 1. Mary Lydia mar Frank Deushle 2. Anna Margaret Temple mar Leonard Purslow 3. Edna Irene Temple mar Charles W. Horn 4. David Heck Temple mar Eva Canifax * my line David Heck Temple and Eva Canifax Temple had the following children: 1. Margaret mar. ? Duncan Porstsmouth Ohio 2. Thelma Louise mar. Noah Gray Thelma and Noah had the following children: 1. Betty 2. David 3.Joanne 4. Peggy 5. Richard Betty Marie Gray, number 1 above, is my grandmother. She married Walter Wayne Mackey and they had the following children: 1. Donna 2. Diana MY MOM! 3. Karen Donna lives in Boston Mass. Karen lives in Portsmouth Ohio.
