He died in 1872 in Berclair, VA. He was married to Lucy Lilly ROBINSON (daughter of William ROBINSON and Elizabeth LILLY). Lucy Lilly ROBINSON was born in 1805. She died in 1883. Some sources give years as 1807- 1884. Benjamin TEMPLE and Lucy Lilly ROBINSON had the following children: 2 i. Elizabeth Lilly TEMPLE was born on 29 Aug 1827 in Ampthill, Richmond, VA. She died on 11 Jul 1828 in Ampthill, Richmond, VA. Data provided by Gwen Duvall. 3 ii. Virginia Nelson TEMPLE. Died as an infant. 4 iii. Molly Brooke TEMPLE was born on 26 Apr 1835 in Dale Parish, VA. She died on 25 Oct 1838 in Dale Parish, VA. +5 iv. Robert Henry TEMPLE. 6 v. Charles Wellford TEMPLE served in the military. Served in the Ninth VA Cavalry until wounded and disabled and then attached to the ordnance bureau. Died unmarried. +7 vi. Dr. Benjamin Brooke TEMPLE. +8 vii. Judith Willantina TEMPLE. 9 viii. John Taylor TEMPLE died about 1866. Died of wounds and disabilities from Civil War. He served in the military. Lieutenant in the 30th Virginia Infantry. Died unmarried. 10 ix. William Skyrin TEMPLE was born on 6 May 1842. He Moved in New York City, New York, NY. He served in the military. In Pegram's Battery, later in the 9th Virginia Cavalry. Several times wounded. Died unmarried. +11 x. Bernard Moore TEMPLE. 12 xi. Ludwell Robinson TEMPLE died about 1866. Died of wounds and disabilities incurred in Civil War. He served in the military. In the 9th Virginia Cavalry. Died unmarried. 13 xii. Lucy Lilly TEMPLE Moved in Richmond, Richmond City, VA. Died unmarried. SECOND GENERATION 5. Robert Henry TEMPLE served in the military. In the mining bureau with the rank of Major. He was married to Lucy CROUCH. Robert Henry TEMPLE and Lucy CROUCH had the following children: 14 i. Twohig TEMPLE. Died without issue. 7. Dr. Benjamin Brooke TEMPLE was born about 1837 in Fredericksburg, VA. He was educated M.D. from University of Virginia in 1859. He served in the military between 1861 and 1865. Enlisted in the Second Richmond Howitzers, with which he served nearly two years as number one at a ten pound Parrott gun. In Apr 1863, he transferred to the Ninth VA Cavalry, with which he served as a private to the end of the war. He Moved in 1874 in Danville, VA. He died after 1899. He was married to Mary E. GLIDDEN on 5 Sep 1866 in Fredericksburg, VA. Mary E. GLIDDEN was born in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Benjamin Brooke TEMPLE and Mary E. GLIDDEN had the following children: 15 i.
