Henry TEMPLE, Jr., son of Henry TEMPLE, Sr., was born ca. 1758 and died in 1820. He married Sarah ROBERTSON, daughter of John ROBERTSON, Sr. and his wife Amy. John ROBERTSON, Sr.'s will written 2 Oct 1800 proves that his daughter, Sarah, predeceased her father. Sarah was the granddaughter of Christopher ROBERTSON. Henry, Jr.'s will, written 18 Feb 1820 and offered for probate at the May Term of the Wake Co. Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions, names the following: My wife, Sary (sic) Temple 100 acres of land in Chatham Co. for her lifetime or widowhood. After her death to be divided between his lawful children, also one feather bed and furniture. He names as his six children: Winnaford, Allen, Jessee, Rebecca, Amy and Martha BURWELL. Rebecca was married to an ELLIS and Amy married Noel KNIGHT; Winnaford and Martha may have been unmarried. This is from the "Wake County North Carolina History Book," page 530, family section 880.
