Back in May I posted the following message which was found in Converse genealogy. It has some more detail. Does anyone know Edwin's grandfather? I was browsing through family genealogies at the library when I came across the following: Edwin Bowdoin Temple b. in W. Gloucester MA, Jan 5 1863 married Hattie Carpenter Converse on Sep 4, 1884. She was b. Feb 4, 1865 in Newport NH.d. Oct 29, 1892. Edwin was the son of Howard Elder Temple b. Providence RI, May 20, 1840 who married Caroline Elizabeth Humphrey who was b. Salem MA Feb 7, 1843. Source: "Converse Family & Allied Families" by Charles Allen Converse. I can't seem to find any of the above names but with the Bowdoin middle name you would think he descended from the ME Temples.
