Temple b. 10/5/1844 Bowdoinham, ME; died 10/22/1906 Stephenson, MI. Married Mary Young 7/4/1866. John Temple was a few weeks shy of age 43 when he died. I do not know what he died of and would appreciate it if anyone can help me here. His youngest son, Charles was born several months after his death. A son, John died in 1852 in Maine. The rest of the family, Clarissa and all her children came to Wisconsin in the mid 1850's as near as I can tell. I'm not sure why, but land was probably the reason and several of her sons, as well as son-in-law, Mellen Smith, are shown as having land transactions in Oconto Co., from 1856 on. They settled in prime Wisconsin Timber land and farm land at the time. I will list descendants of these children in another list. Sandy Perdue
